Volunteer Role:    HWMS Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator helps guide and support our growing volunteer program. This role serves as the primary point of contact for new and returning volunteers, assists with placement into appropriate roles, and helps ensure our events and committees are well supported. Ideal for someone who enjoys organization, communication, and connecting people with meaningful opportunities to serve.


Volunteer Role:    Committee Member  (Position Description Coming Soon)

Serve on one of our Main Street committees — Organization, Promotion, Design, or Economic Vitality — and help shape the future of Historic Willamette. Committee Members collaborate on projects, events, business support efforts, and placemaking initiatives that strengthen our district. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to contribute ideas and be part of meaningful community work.


Volunteer Role:    HWMS District Outreach Volunteer   (Position Description Coming Soon)

District Outreach Volunteers help distribute posters, newsletters, and event materials throughout the Historic Willamette Business District. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys walking the district, connecting with business owners, and serving as a friendly point of contact for sharing updates and information.


Volunteer Role:    Fundraising Event Support Volunteer   (Position Description Coming Soon)

Help create a welcoming and organized experience at our fundraising events. Volunteers in this role assist with registration, guest check-in, hospitality, and general event flow at Wine Walks, Brew Strolls, and other ticketed events. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys interacting with the public and being part of high-energy community events.


Volunteer Role:    Raffle Program Team   (Position Description Coming Soon)

Join the team that organizes and executes raffles for our fundraising events. Volunteers help solicit items, assemble prize packages, coordinate ticket sales, conduct drawings, and follow through with prize distribution. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organizing details and supporting creative fundraising efforts.


Volunteer Role:    Children's Activity Volunteer

Support family-friendly engagement at our events by helping design and facilitate scavenger hunts and other children’s activities. Volunteers prepare materials, coordinate with participating businesses, and assist children and families during events. This role helps make our district welcoming and fun for all ages.


Volunteer Role:    Social Media Volunteer   (Position Description Coming Soon)

Help expand awareness of Historic Willamette by sharing posts, engaging with local businesses online, and supporting event promotion efforts. Volunteers in this role assist with digital visibility and community storytelling across social media platforms.


Volunteer Role:    Grant Writer   (Position Description Coming Soon)

Assist with select grant opportunities that arise during the year to support specific projects and initiatives. This project-based role involves researching funding sources and collaborating with staff and committee members to help prepare application materials. The time commitment is occasional and varies depending on the grant cycle, making it a flexible way to contribute meaningful support.
