If you happen through Historic Willamette in spring, summer, fall or winter, you’ll likely catch one of our many family-fun activities. Here’s a sample of what’s happening on Main Street’s Willamette Falls Drive:
First Saturday in December
Parade in the morning followed by hot cocoa and Santa at the fire station. Evening events include carolers and a sleigh ride through town.
Trick or treat at all the Willamette merchants. Fun contests every year.
Late September. Architecture and history buffs take note: This lantern lit tour provides a peek into restored homes. Costumed guides and local actors bring history to life with re-enactments of turn of the 20th Century Willamette life. A horse drawn carriage proves a sometimes messy mode of transport. This ticketed event often sells out so reserve your place in history early!
Wednesdays, May through September. 4-8pm. Find fresh produce and organic foods at the annual West Linn Farmer’s Market on Historic Willamette Main Street. Each week features a different theme to coordinate with the seasonal offerings from local farmers. Live music, product and produce demonstrations, garden plants and supplies, and local artisans make the Summer Street Market one of the most interesting and dynamic markets in the region!
July. Put on your dancing shoes and kick up your heels to music provided by some of the country’s best talent, LIVE!
July. Get that old-time feeling on the ferris wheel at this annual Willamette Park Festival. The fair features a parade, carnival rides, a custom car show, live music on two stages, beer garden, children games and activities for the whole family.
