If you happen through Historic Willamette in spring, summer, fall or winter, you’ll likely catch one of our many family-fun activities. Here’s a sample of what’s happening on Main Street’s Willamette Falls Drive:
Willamette Wine Walk:
In September, walk the street with wine tastings at almost every business along the strip. Purchase wine at discounted pricing. Click here for more information.
First Saturday in December
Parade in the morning followed by hot cocoa and Santa at the fire station. Evening events include carolers and a sleigh ride through town.
Trick or treat at all the Willamette merchants. Fun contests every year.
** Cancelled for 2020
Late September. Architecture and history buffs take note: This lantern lit tour provides a peek into restored homes. Costumed guides and local actors bring history to life with re-enactments of turn of the 20th Century Willamette life. A horse drawn carriage proves a sometimes messy mode of transport. This ticketed event often sells out so reserve your place in history early!
Wednesdays, June through August. 3:30-7:30pm. Find fresh produce and organic foods, artisan foods and one-of-a-kind handmade goods at the annual Wednesday’s in Willamette Summer Market on Historic Willamette Main Street. Local artisans as well as Cideries, Wineries, Distilleries and Mixed Cocktail vendors make the Summer Street Market one of the most interesting and dynamic markets in the region!
If you have kids between the ages of 5 and 12 make sure you sign them up at the Information Booth for the Power of Produce Program. They will receive tokens in the amount of $2 with which to purchase produce, honey or produce plants.
The 2020 Market is being held on 8th Avenue at the Corner of 14th Street behind the Willamette Ale House. We hope to see you there!
